Disney TV channel celebrates Mickey Mouse's birthday on 18 November

Mickey Mouse - From being the mischievous and adventurous troublemaker when he was first created, to a lovable, cheerful hero, he has always been known as a universal symbol of friendship and family values.

The world's most popular mouse, Mickey Mouse, celebrates his birthday on November 18 with a very special line-up of varied and entertaining Mickey programming.

Mickey was born out of necessity when Walt discovered he had lost the rights to his previous character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. In 1932 a special Academy Award was given to Walt Disney for the creation of Mickey Mouse.

In 2004 Mickey and the Gang starred in two brand new feature-length animations released direct to video. The first title is ‘The Three Musketeers’, launched in August 2004, and the second is ‘Twice Upon a Christmas’, released in December 2004, featuring five all new stories. This was Mickey’s first ever 3D CGI (computer generated imagery) cartoon.

Disney characters then unite for a colorful and witty comic adventure in the musical, full-length movie based on the timeless tale “The Three Musketeers” starring Mickey, Donald and Goofy at 12 noon.

Fans can also catch up and enjoy with Mickey Mouse on Disney Junior – the channel, where a marathon line-up of Mickey Mouse Club House, Minnie’s Bowtoons and Mouskersize will be aired from 10am to 3pm.
