Sadhana Jejurikar, Dr Roshan Bharti give a captivating performance

Ghazal Singers Sadhana Jejurikar and Dr. Roshan Bharti mesmerize Mumbai with their soulful renditions!




Mumbai: It was a Saturday evening spent wonderfully for those Mumbaikars who attended Ghazal Singers SadhanaJejurikar and Dr. RoshanBharti’s musical show ‘Duaa’. This show was organized in aid of the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA), a registered charitable non-governmental organization (NGO) working towards the Total Management of Cancer.

BhajanSamratAnupJalota, Grammy Award Winner Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, graced the event with their presence. The event was organised by Bhavesh Seth and Swati Seth of Buddyz Entertainment. 

SadhanaJejurikar said, “We felt so good performing for such a good cause. And that’s what music does. It makes you feel good and also creates goodness.”

“I am very happy to perform in Mumbai and happier to see a musically inclined audience. I am glad to see the response to a show like ours which was for a charitable cause.” shared Dr. RoshanBharti.

About SadhanaJejurikar:

Ghazal singer SadhanaJejurikar has been singing since the age of 5. She holds a Gold Medal from the Khairagarh University in 1992. She has been specially trained in Ghazal singing from PanditUstad Om Prakash Sharma for about 2 decades. Winner of the MP Government District LataMangeshkar Award, Sadhanaji has been performing in All India Radio since 20 years. In 2013, Times Music had released her album, DUAA which also featured songs sung by legendary Ghulam Ali Khan. She has co-authored a biography on the Pakistani Ghazal Maestro Ghulam Ali Khan, titled: Ghazal Wizard GhulamAli which was released by Times Group Books in 2013.

About Dr. RoshanBharti:

One of the finest upcoming talents in India, Dr. RoshanBharti is the grandson of late Ustad Jamal Khan, teacher of the great Ghazal singer, Jagjit Singh. He is a winner of 2002 SangeetNatak Academy Award for Youth and 2013 'Abhinav Kala Samman' by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. He has also done a thesis on ‘Begum Akhtar’s Life and Works’ from the University of Rajasthan.
