Webber has always prioritized small indie films, so becoming a director himself was a natural step. His debut as a director was "Explicit Ills"in 2008, that won the audience award for Best Film at the SXSW Festival.

As a director, producer and screenwriter of "The End of Love" in 2012, Webber became a Sundance phenomenon, being nominated for thefestival's Grand Prize and becoming a "must-follow" director in the american indie scene.

His third film, starring Teresa Palmer and Melissa Leo is called "The Ever After", and will have it's European Premiere as the opening Film of the Festival on the 24th of June at 22:00

To FEST Mark Webber will bring his years of experience in independent filmmaking with him, both as an actor and as a director.
His masterclass on acting will certainly be one not to miss in this year's Training Ground.
